The approach

Color gets the attention, but the cut is what decides whether your hair behaves on the mornings nobody is watching. It is the shape underneath everything, and it is the thing that either works with your texture or fights it for eight weeks.
So the consultation comes first, and it is a conversation about your life as much as your hair: how you actually wear it, how long you are willing to spend on it, and what has not worked before. Then the cut is built to your facial structure, your hair type and your texture rather than to a picture.
If your hair is fine, ask about dry sculpting. Cutting hair dry, in its natural state, shows exactly what it wants to do and where weight needs removing, which is how you get the look of thickness without taking anything you cannot spare.

ALORA Signature Cut
The maintenance cut, and forty minutes. Keeps your existing shape doing what it should, takes off the ends before they split, and leaves the length you have been growing intact.

The Precision Dry Sculpt Cut
Cut dry, so we can see what your hair actually does, with micro-layering worked through to build dimension. Creates the look of thickness and fullness in fine hair without losing the lightness.

The one for a real change, and the one new clients usually want. A fresh shape designed from scratch around what you have come in asking for, in about forty-five minutes.

The Sculpted Length Cut
For thick, long hair. Opens with a deep cleansing treatment on the KM Scalp.Spa system, which resets the scalp and preps the hair, then the precision cut itself.

A quick detailing service between proper cuts. A bang trim, or a touch-up on the bits that grow out first and ruin the shape.

How do I book an appointment?

What products do you use?
Organic and vegan only. We are a NATULIQUE concept salon, so our color is certified-organic and ammonia-free, and we use their Bioactive bond complex to protect hair through every service. In the spa we work with KPS Essentials clean skincare. If you love something, you can take it home.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday to Saturday: Monday afternoons from 1pm, Tuesday to Friday from 10am, all with evening appointments until 8pm, and Saturdays 10am to 2pm. We are closed Sundays.
Where are you and is there parking?
We are at 710 Chauvet Drive, Pittsburgh, in Robinson Township, with easy parking right outside. We are a short drive from Moon, Coraopolis, Kennedy and McKees Rocks.
