Our story
Built around how an appointment should feel
Alora began with a straightforward frustration: a salon appointment so often feels like another errand. Harsh fumes, a room you have to talk over, and a chair you leave in a hurry. It did not seem like too much to ask for the opposite.
So the salon was built the other way round. Certified-organic, ammonia-free color, so the air is clean and the service is comfortable for a scalp that reacts. A spa on the other side of the same roof, organized around five elements and the rituals we travelled to find. Warm wood, cream plaster, terracotta and a great many plants.
We moved into the space on Chauvet Drive to do all of this properly, with room for the spa the salon always wanted to have. Eleven of us work here now, across the floor and the treatment rooms.
